instead they have “exchanged the glory of the immortal God” for a whole range of lies, and were delivered up by God to “disgraceful passions.”36 What is at issue here, among other things, is correct worship. The Gentiles were idolaters, exchanging “the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles.”37 Now in Romans 12:1 Paul is proposing a different kind of worship, not one based on these falsehoods but one that instead is logikos.
